Twitter exploded with speculation this week as BBC Radio 2 tweeted a cryptic post about an upcoming band reunion that would be announced live on the show.
And not ones to overpromise and under deliver, the tweet read that ‘A massive band is reuniting’ and that the big reveal would happen on the Zoe Ball Breakfast Show. ‘You’re going to love this one…’ the post finished.
Social media went into meltdown with fans speculating that it was rockers Genesis who last went on tour in 2007 as part of their Turn On Again Tour.
Fans believed band members Phil Collins, Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford who are all 69 could be planning something big for their collection 70th birthdays and they weren’t wrong.
