Rural residents are being told that Balfron’s tip will be appointment only for months to come - and possibly even for good.Locals who contacted the Observer said they had heard the village recycling centre would be run on an appointment-only system on a permanent basis from now on and there would be no return to drop-ins.The site opening hours are currently Monday to Friday, 5-7.30pm (last entry).
