Great British Bake Off winner Peter Sawkins surprised his uni flatmates with his success in the finale. Winning the show meant the star had to keep his result a huge secret from his four flatmates at uni after filming in the summer.
Loud cheering and celebrations commenced when Peter took the Bake Off crown in the finale, which aired on Tuesday. The Scottish baker apologised to flats below and above for the noise, although he admitted it was a shame they couldn't have a big party because of coronavirus.
He told the Radio 2 Breakfast Show on Wednesday: "It was great fun. It was just celebrations! Lots and lots of cheering so apologies to the flats above and below.
