She’s baking royalty and now television’s queen of all things sweet Mary Berry has been made a dame by actual royalty. Recently, her title as a national British treasure was cemented when she was named as a Dame in the Queen’s Birthday Honours last October alongside fellow legends Sir David Attenborough and Poirot star David Suchet.
The Bake Off icon has now been named a Dame Commander by Prince Charles at an investiture ceremony held in Windsor Castle. The honour recognised her contribution to the culinary arts, broadcasting and her writing over the course of her five-decade career.
