Baby Reindeer’s real-life Martha has gone head to head with celebrity interviewer Piers Morgan in a TV clash.Fiona Harvey, 58, recorded her first “big TV interview” with the controversial broadcaster earlier this week.
But Harvey, originally from Fyvie in Aberdeenshire, told the Record she was “not happy” with Piers’ questioning after the interview was recorded in London. She described her interview as a “sparring match” and was forced to refute claims by Piers that she “loved” Gadd.
In the 30-minute show, planned for broadcast on Piers’ Youtube channel later this week, the Scots law graduate will talk openly about being outed as comedian Richard Gadd’s alleged stalker. She will be grilled regarding allegations that she became obsessed with the Fife-born comedian over a period of years - inspiring the character of Martha in Gadd’s hit Netflix drama. The interview comes after the Daily Record carried the first current picture and newspaper interview with Harvey after she was exposed as the real-life Martha by internet sleuths.Fiona told how Piers refused to accept Harvey’s denial that she stalked Gadd, saying: “There was a heavy emphasis from Piers Morgan on Gadd and the emails I am supposed to have sent.“I have my own thoughts on it that I’d like to keep to myself but I wouldn’t say I was happy.
It was very rapid to try to trip me up. He did it fast paced to catch me off guard.“Piers kept saying to me ‘are you sure you haven’t sent this guy 41,000 emails and phone calls?’.
