HBO have announced via social media that Half Man, Richard Gadd’s follow-up to Baby Reindeer, has begun filming. The show stars Gadd and Jamie Bell as two men who reunite at a wedding, bringing old wounds to the surface.The Instagram post reads: “From the Emmy Award-winning creator and star of Baby Reindeer Richard Gadd, the HBO Original series #HalfMan is now in production”.
It was accompanied by an image of Gadd holding a production slate for the show.A press release for co-producers BBC described the plot of the show: “Half Man follows estranged ‘brothers’ Niall (Jamie Bell) and Ruben (Richard Gadd).
When Ruben shows up unexpectedly at Niall’s wedding, it leads to an explosion of violence that catapults us back through their lives”.It continued: “Spanning almost 40 years from the 1980s to the present day, this ambitious series will cover the highs and lows of the brothers’ relationship, from them meeting as teenagers to their falling out as adults – with all the good, bad, terrible, funny, angry, and challenging moments along the way.
