BA stewardess loses job after relationship with abusive homeless man she wanted to help

A British Airways stewardess in an abusive relationship with a homeless man she felt sorry for suffered a mental breakdown and lost her job as a result, a court heard.

Sarah Kershaw, 48,  offered dad-of-one John Jackson food and shelter after learning he was living in a tent in a pal’s garden, Minshull Street Crown Court was told.

But soon after they started dating, Jackson, 47, nicknamed 'Jacko' by Miss Kershaw, secretly told friends: ''I am only banging her to steal her money'' before abusing her and stealing her valuables.

He sold off her iPad, mobile phone, camera and passport to fund his need for drink, drugs, and gambling and even posted fake notes in the window that looked to be written by Miss Kershaw to make it look like she wasn’t
