B*Witched stars now - from divorce to Netflix fame 25 years after pop success

Irish popstars B*Witched had some major hits in the late 90s and early 00s including C’est La Vie, Reach For The Stars and Blame It On The Weatherman.The foursome only released two albums in their heyday and split up in 2003 when Sinead O’Carroll left the band.The group had been dropped by their record label, Sony, and fans of the singers largely assumed that that would be the end of the young Irish stars.

However, the group reunited in 2012 for a special event and have since reformed.They released a new song, Birthday, in March 2023.

But what happened to the stars in-between? Edele Lynch Edele Lynch was able to turn her talent for writing hits into a lucrative songwriting career during the band’s hiatus, and penned hits for acts including Girls Aloud and The Sugababes.The star also briefly formed a band, Ms Lynch, with her sisters, who she toured with and often performed old B*Witched material alongside.

She additionally appeared on several high profile reality shows including Celebrity Apprentice Ireland and Big Brother. Edele got married in 2007 and gave birth to three kids - Ceol, 15, Harley, 12 and Enya, 11 - but split from husband Michael Barrett in 2014.The star had a very difficult divorce which she later confessed led to her abusing alcohol and self-harming due to the stress involved.
