B&Q customers are calling for the retailer to take action after paint pots spilled open and "ruined" their cars. The DIY retailer has argued that care needs to be taken when travelling in a motor with a pot of paint as they hit back against complaints - but shoppers remain frustrated.
Adam Bolwell, 25, says a £42 pot of grey emulsion Valspar paint popped open when he was driving up a hill in his Peugeot 107.
He claims the footwell of his vehicle was left "looking like a swimming pool" after his visit to B&Q on March 26, reports the Mirror.Adam had bought some paint to spruce up his bedroom and he placed it in front of the passenger seat of his partner's car.
However, minutes into the short ride home the paint toppled over and the lid popped off, flooding the footwell.Adam, from Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, said: "I put it in the front passenger footwell.
