A pioneering Prestwick dental firm has been gobbled-up by a Glasgow-based giant.The Art of Dentistry run by David Wiseman has been taken over by the Clyde Munro group.It has a massive finance war chest to continue swallowing up local practices in Scotland.The group is backed by private equity firm Synova Capital and Investec Bank and an initial £20m was put in to grow the chain, now 40-strong.All surgeries will retain their local name, rather than having a national brand.David gained acclaim as one of the first dentists to endorse implantology in the 1980’s.
