An Ayrshire brute who abused three children – including dragging a child up a flight of stairs – has escaped a jail sentence.James Agnew, formerly of Maybole who now lives in Glen Crescent, Darvel, admitted to wilfully ill-treating three children – aged 15, 12 and nine – in a manner likely to cause them unnecessary suffering or injury to health.The 34-year-old admitted the offences which took place on various occasions between January 2017 and August 2020 at a property in Dundonald, which he occupied at the time.One charge states Agnew grabbed one child, 12, by the body, dragged him up a flight of stairs and into a bedroom and threw him onto a bed.On another occasion, Agnew threw a shoe at the boy which hit the child.The brute grabbed a
