Irvine Vineburgh Boxing Club starlet Aaron Connor enjoyed a knockout birthday - by winning a Scottish title on the day he turned 14.The youngster was crowned the age 2007 50kg champion at Boxing Scotland’s Schools and Junior Championships on Saturday.He defeated Gary Melville of North Glasgow BC after the judges scored the fight 3-2 in his favour to cap a memorable day.Aaron, who kept his birthday a secret from coach Alec Mullen, now has three Scottish titles to his name.Club colleague Mason Salmon, also 14, also struck gold with a terrific victory against Aaron Bennett of Cambusnethan BC in the 48kg final.Mason went into the fight still feeling the effects of a virus but powered on to claim his fourth Scottish title.The wins took.
