Ayrshire boxing champion has run 52 miles in just two days to help save lives in the heart of the community where he trains.Calvin McCord, 24, from Ayr, joined other fighters at Doon Valley Boxing as they raced to keep residents fighting fit with the installation of a defibrillator in Dalmellington.The current Scottish lightweight champion took to the streets around his home town to clock up the miles with fellow pros and aspiring boxers.Calvin was keen to help the gym move their defibrillator inside the fitness complex to outside so it can help anyone in a time of need.He told Ayrshire Live: “I have been boxing out of the gym since I was seven-year-old, I have been there ever since.“The gym has had a defibrillator there for years.
