The former Newcastle kid has sealed a switch north of the border today to help shore up Lee Bullen's midfield.The 22-year-old, who joins from Wycombe Wanderers, has been on the Ayr radar for almost 18 months and arrives at a time when United badly need midfield reinforcements due to injuries suffered by Andy Murdoch and Ben Dempsey.
And Young says he's ready to step up and fill the void after agreeing a deal until January.He told the Ayrshire Post: "I'm aware the club have been tracking me for a while and it's nice to feel wanted wherever you go.
The minute I spoke to the gaffer and Graeme (Mathie) they made it clear how big a part I could play here and that has to be my focus now.
I just want to come in and be the best version of myself for these next few months and take it from there."The guys have sold the club to me really well.
