Ayr’s historic Town Hall is “crumbling before our eyes” and action must be taken before someone is injured by falling brickwork, says one concerned butcher.Gary Ferguson, of Pollok Williamson butchers on Ayr’s High Street, works just doors along from the 191-year-old building and says a recent piece of facade could have killed someone if it fell from a height and struck a pedestrian below.The butcher says he has informed South Ayrshire Council of the issue on “countless occasions” but nothing is being done to protect the Category A listed building on the corner of New Bridge Street and the High Street.Gary said: “The town Hall is crumbling before our eyes.
