Austin Butler to Play Patrick Bateman in New 'American Psycho' Film Adaptation by Luca Guadagnino

Austin Butler is taking on a major role. The 33-year-old Elvis actor is set to star in Luca Guadagnino‘s new interpretation of the book American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis for Lionsgate, and he’ll be playing the role of Patrick Bateman, via Variety.

The news came after rumors of Jacob Elordi taking the role circulated online. The film, which features a script by The Laundromat‘s Scott Z.
