AURORA has spoken about the impact of her song ‘Through The Eyes Of A Child’ appearing in Adolescence – the new Netflix limited series.The song comes from AURORA’s 2016 debut studio album ‘All My Demons Greeting Me’ and features in Adolescence‘s closing sequence as one of the only needle drops across the four episodes.Written by Jack Thorne (Toxic Town) and Stephen Graham, the series follows 13-year-old boy Jamie Miller who is arrested for the murder of a classmate.
Like Boiling Point, also directed by Philip Barantini, every episode is filmed in one continuous shot.Now, the Norwegian singer-songwriter has commented on the response to the song, a decade after its initial release.Writing on Instagram on Monday (March 17), she said: “It’s a strange and wonderful thing to see people connecting with this song.
The world around me has changed so much since I wrote it. And now the words mean a lot more to me.“The deep need for the world to stop neglecting the inner child, and confusing innocence with weakness,” she continued. “I hope the song gives people something good.
