Baena, who was a writer and director, died by suicide on Friday. He was 47.Born and raised in Miami, Baena attended film school at New York University and moved to Los Angeles after graduation to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
His big break came in 2004 when he co-wrote the screenplay for “I Heart Huckabees” with the film’s director, David O. Russell.
