An MP has said there is growing support for assisted dying and that it could become legal within four years. Andrew Mitchell, the new co-chair of a panel looking into whether the rules should change, has said that MPs are beginning to back the idea.
The Sutton Coldfield Conservative MP said “tight reform” could be introduced before 2025 in an interview with Sky News. His predictions come despite numerous attempts to pass an assisted dying law having been voted down in the House of Commons.
