A British Pakistani man says he was pinned down by around 20 police officers after he left a branch of Pret A Manger without buying anything.
Kashif Baig, from Hounslow, said he went inside the branch in Waterloo station to get a drink but he left without anything because the queue was too long.
The 26-year-old was stopped and searched by officers who claimed they had seen him going into the underground and coming back out.
Officers claimed he was ‘evasive’ and refused to give his address. Mr Baig said on Twitter : "I walked in to Pret and walked back out because there was a long queue.
