Ashley Cain has shared his reasoning for taking part in the upcoming season of Celeb SAS, and explained that it’s to help him deal with the death of his late daughter Azaylia.
Ashley, alongside other celebs like Ferne McCann, Calum Best and AJ and Curtis Pritchard, was announced to be part of the latest line-up for the brutal show ahead of its new series starting next month.
Ashley and his former partner Safiyya Vorajee heartbreakingly lost their eight month old daughter to acute myeloid leukaemia in April 2021, and doting dad Ashley has since vowed to keep her legacy alive.
In light of the tragedy he’s experienced in the past couple of years, former Ex On The Beach star Ashely, 31, said he hopes the show will help him “combat the trauma” of Azaylia’s death. “Losing my daughter was the most difficult experience of my life,” he said. “I think to combat trauma you need to step outside your comfort zone and see who you really are. There’s no better way to do that than on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, so when the opportunity came, I took it with both hands!” Ashley has branded his late daughter Azaylia as his “superpower” as he signs up to the show.
