Little Azaylia tragically passed away in April 2021 at just eight months old after losing her battle with acute myeloid leukaemia.
Safiyya bravely opened up about her daughter's death during an appearance on the Saving Grace podcast, which is hosted by GK Barry.The 36 year old said she had to learn to "execute her pain" and not succumb to a "why me" mindset, as she likened Azaylia's passing to "jumping off a cliff with nothing to hold on to".
Speaking about thinking "why me", Safiyya said: "I really tried not to do that. And that's because I felt so [suicidal] after I lost Azaylia that I thought if I start sitting in "Why me, why's this, why's this?"...
