Ashley Simpson's surprise appearance on stage with Demi Lovato in Los Angeles this past September appears to have sparked the music bug back into the mother of three.During an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, which aired earlier this week, the Pieces Of Me singer confessed she plans to write and record a new studio album.And while explaining how motherhood kept taking precedence when she had the itch to make new music over the years, Simpson revealed that she has played some of her new music to her mother-in-law, who just happens to be the legendary Supremes lead singer Diana Ross.

'You're like, "Oh, please like it."' The singer and actress, 38, went on to confess there are 'definitely butterflies' when playing one of her songs for the iconic Motown crooner, 78.'But she's such a wonderful mother-in-law.
She's very encouraging, and she definitely helped us on the album too,' she added, in a reference to the Ashlee + Evan EP Simpson did with her husband Evan Ross, 34, that dropped in October 2018.
