A supermarket worker has been hailed a hero after saving the life of a three-year-old boy who was choking on a sweet. Paula Connor-Brown, who was behind the till at the Asda branch in Stockton, spotted little Seth Leishman struggling and dashed over and grabbed the tot.
She managed to pat the boy on the back to dislodge the sweet from his throat and allow him to breathe again, the Manchester Evening News reports.
Paula said: "I got out of my chair and went round to the other side and got down to the boy's level and started to pat his back.
