Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's recall canned food items as they may be unsafe to eat

Food company Princes Group has recalled a number of canned bean products because they may contain small rubber balls 'making them unsafe to eat', according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

The FSA said on its website: "These products may contain small rubber balls which makes them unsafe to eat." Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's have also issued their own product recall notices.

In its own notice, Asda said: "Asda are conducting a precautionary recall on two Asda brand products due to the possible presence of small rubber balls, approximately 2.5cm in diameter. "These balls are a potential choking hazard." No receipt is required. Princes Group, Tesco and Sainsbury's released a similar alerts concerning the products on their shelves.
