As I Lay Dying have responded to ex-guitarist Nick Hipa’s statement on his departure from the group, saying they “respect [his] decision to move on from the band and forging a new path in life”.In an Instagram post made last month, Hipa told fans that it had been “well over a year” since he was last involved with the Californian metalcore outfit “on a personal and professional level”, noting that he’d been avoiding questions about his relationship with the band as he was “trying to move on peacefully in life”.
Citing his current priorities as “a motion design career, deep focus on my family, taking care of my health, and working on other creative projects”, Hipa said that his decision to step away from As I Lay Dying, who reunited in 2018.
