The Art Directors Guild has a new National Executive Director. Joel Cohen was elected to the post during IATSE Local 800’s spring officer elections, moving up from after one term as Associate National Executive Director.

He takes over from Chuck Parker, who had been in the top role for three terms since 2016. “I’m honored to have been elected, and thank you to my peers for your vote of confidence,” Cohen said in a statement. “This was something bigger than an election win.

It’s about making our voices heard and taking a stand together for fair treatment, stronger protections, and a future where every member has a say in the decisions that shape our work and our lives.

Creating the change we deserve isn’t something that happens overnight — it’s something we build together, day by day. The work ahead won’t be easy, but it’s necessary, and together, we will make it happen.” Andrew Stumme is ADG’s new Associate National Executive Director.
