An Arsenal supporter has named his newborn baby after midfielder Mesut Ozil following a promise he made to the player on Twitter in March.

Gunners megafan Jack Robinson tweeted Ozil five months ago saying: "@MesutOzil1088 wife is expecting in july she said if i can get you to reply i can name the kid Ozil, dont let me down" Four days later the German international responded, replying: "It's a deal mate.

I don't let you down. Now it's your turn. I want to see the birth certificate of your kid in July." And on Monday afternoon Mr Robinson shared a picture of his baby girl holding an Ozil shirt, along with the message: "@MesutOzil1088 Deal completed, worth every second.
