Mikel Arteta has admitted he is unsure how long Declan Rice could be ruled out for following Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
The £105million man was uncharacteristically substituted at half-time during the North London Derby. Since arriving from West Ham United in the summer, Rice has made an immediate impact for the Gunners.
A new-found energy and defensive structure in midfield, combined with his leadership skills, has had many believing Rice could be the missing piece for Arsenal’s Premier League push.
The 24-year-old also bagged a stoppage-time winner against Manchester United earlier this month. Any lengthy spell on the sidelines would give Manchester City a boost in the title race.
