Arsenal risk losing out on their No.1 transfer target Houssem Aouar due to the fact they are insistent they are only willing to pay for the Lyon star in installments.
The Gunners have been chasing the French attacking midfielder for a number of months, with Mikel Arteta desperate to add another ball-playing figure to his squad.
But the likes of Real Madrid and PSG are also interested on Aouar, whose impressive performances over the past few seasons have alerted some of the biggest sides in Europe.
And according to The Sun the two clubs may have an advantage over Arsenal because they are willing to sign the player on loan with an agreement to pay the full £45m asking price next summer.
