Arrests have been made after a car rammed a chasing police vehicle and drove through two parks. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the silver Nissan Note failed to a stop for members of the force's Roads Policing Unit (RPU) who were on patrol in Bolton.

There began a pursuit lasting around 15 minutes during which the patrol was rammed, the force said on its GMP Traffic page on Twitter.

It also went off-road and drove through two separate parks, they added. The occupants of the car eventually de-camped and were arrested by officers. No further details about the incident have been disclosed.
