Amie Hammer has spoken out after announcing he's leaving his last acting role, in Broadway play The Minutes. The 34-year-old actor has said that for the "sake of my family" he has quit the production, which was the last acting job he had in his diary, as recent allegations have led to him to withdraw from public life.
There have been sexual assault allegations made against Hammer, which he strongly denies, but with the Los Angeles Police Department investigating, the actor thought it best to walk away from the Broadway role.
The Tracy Letts play The Minutes was meant to debut on Broadway in March 2020 but the coronavirus pandemic put those plans on hold, as theatres were closed.
