Armed police called to reports of man firing gun from balcony in Kent

Armed police were called to reports of a man firing a gun from a top floor balcony at a block of flats in Kent. Members of the public filmed a man stood on the balcony waving and firing what appears to be a gun in the Dockside area of Chatham at around 8.30am this morning.

Kent Police have since confirmed that a man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences. Officers searched the flat and found four suspected imitation firearms.

There have been no reports of injury during the incident. One of the videos circulating on social media shows a witness pointing out a man on a balcony.
