An armed man was shot and wounded by members of the U.S. Secret Service during a shootout early Sunday, authorities said. The man, who had traveled to Washington, D.C.
from Indiana and was described as a “suicidal individual” in a statement by the Secret Service, was taken to a local hospital after the shooting.
