Argos has gotten rid of a popular payment method in the run-up to Christmas, sparking fears that people now won't be able to afford their presents. The retailer has scrapped one of the payment plans on the 'Buy Now, Pay Later' (BNPL) option that was available when paying for shopping.
There were three different ones available - spreading the cost over three, six or 12 months. However, the six-month option is now gone, which means customers are now worried about how they're going to afford Christmas.
The Sun reports that customers can now choose BNPL plans in more limited scenarios. For example, if shoppers spend more than £30, they can pick a plan of up to three months.
And 12 month plans are available if your Argos shop costs more than £199 - but there is now nothing in between. Shoppers have been left furious over the change, with many wondering why the six-month option had been scrapped.
