Manchester United fans aren’t too thrilled with their opening fixture of the 2022/23 season. The Premier League released its fixtures for the new campaign on Thursday, confirming dates for all 380 games.
The new season is set to get under way on Friday, August 5, with Crystal Palace hosting Arsenal in the opening game of the first round of fixtures.
United are then set to take on Brighton on Sunday, August 7 as they kick off their season at Old Trafford. Erik ten Hag then takes his side out on the road for his first away game in charge against Brentford six days later on August 13. United fans will be hoping for a marked improvement from their side this season following the disaster of the 2021/22 campaign, that saw their side record the club's lower points tally in the Premier League era.
