Pubs will be allowed to stay open until 1am tonight as England take on Spain in the Euro 2024 final. An extension to the licensing hours has been granted by the government to give football fans a little longer to celebrate victory - or drown their sorrows depending on which way the match goes.
The Three Lions will go head to head with Spain in Berlin with a kick off at 8pm, so the match could go until around 11pm if it goes to penalties.

Previously pubs have been allowed to stay open late for royal events such as weddings and jubilees as well as other sporting events.
