Arctic Monkeys have announced the release date for their forthcoming seventh album, The Car. It will be the first LP from the Sheffield four-piece since 2018's Tranquility Hotel Base & Casino, which became their sixth consecutive Number 1 album in the UK.
Arctic fans were already aware that Alex Turner and co. were hard at work on their new album, but things really went into gear last night with the debut of a new song, I Ain't Quite Where I Thought I Was.
Following the debut, the bands' socials were updated to announce the arrival of The Car, which will officially arrive October 21.
See the announcement and the artwork for The Car below. Since their 2005 debut, Arctic Monkeys have become one of the most successful British bands of the modern era - and one of the very rare instances where an act has reached Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart with every studio album they've released.
