A study by Betsperts has revealed the most punished players in Premier League history and Manchester United feature heavily on it.
The study calculated which players had committed the most fouls across the history of the competition using data from FBref.
Former Manchester City and Aston Villa Gareth Barry leads the way with 633 fouls committed, however, as the record appearance holder in Premier League history playing as a defensive midfielder this seems like a logical conclusion.
But which United players make the list? Marouane Fellaini come in third with 588 fouls committed; given he only appeared in the Premier League 260 times this averages out at 2.26 fouls per game.
