Ant McPartlin issues health update after suffering nasty fall on stage during live BGT

Ant McPartlin is "a bit sore" after taking a hefty tumble on the Britain's Got Talent stage on Monday. ITV was airing the talent show's first semi-final at the time, opening the proceedings with a dance routine performed by special guests Diversity, who themselves were crowned champions 14 years ago.

But as Ant, 47, and his longtime presenting partner Dec Donnelly made their way to centre stage, the former's foot slipped on the surface which sent him crashing down onto his backside - ever the gentlemen, Diversity leader Ashley Banjo then assisted him. "Ouch, my back!

Wow, if you didn't catch that on telly, that was quite a heavy fall," Ant told viewers in the aftermath. Over on Instagram today, though, Britain's Got Talent fans were provided with a health update courtesy of Ant and Dec, 47, themselves.

In a behind-the-scenes clip, Dec said to the camera: "Well, did you see that fall? I nearly wet myself and farted at the same time!
