Another Manchester bar temporarily closes with staff told to self-isolate just weeks after launching

The Blues Kitchen on Quay Street has announced that some of its employees have been told to self-isolate by the NHS Test & Trace service, and has decided to close for now.

They stressed that the safety of guests and staff 'is and will always be our number one priority'. The huge venue, which specialises in live blues music, barbecue food and bourbon, will remain closed until next week.

It was only able to open its doors for the first time on May 20, after Covid restrictions put the brakes on its planned launch in early 2021.
