Annie Mac has shared her views on the sexist music industry in the UK. The BBC Radio 1 DJ has slammed the misogyny that surrounds the niche industry after grime artist Solo 45 was convicted of raping and sexually assaulting a string of women.
Andy Anokye, 33, who performs under the name Solo 45 was found guilty at Bristol Crown Court of 30 charges relating to a two-year period.
Taking to Twitter to share her thoughts on the tragic revelation, the 41-year-old praised the victims of the rapper, but slammed the misogyny that surrounds her in her job.
Publishing a lengthy Twitter post, the radio star began: "Thinking of the girls who testified against Solo 45 in court over the last 4 months.
