Joe Otterson TV Reporter Annette Bening is set to star alongside Anya Taylor-Joy in the upcoming Apple TV+ limited series “Lucky,” Variety has learned.

It was announced that Taylor-Joy would star in the series back in December. It is based on the novel of the same name by Marissa Stapley.

The book was a New York Times bestseller and a selection for Reese Witherspoon’s Reese’s Book Club. Per the official description, Taylor-Joy stars as “a young woman who left behind the life of crime she was raised in years ago, but must now embrace her darker, criminal side one final time in a desperate attempt to escape her past.” Bening will appear in the role of Priscilla.

This marks the second major TV role she has lined up in the past few years, with Bening having recently starred in the Peacock drama “Apples Never Fall.” That show was based on the book of the same name by “Big Little Lies” author Liane Moriarty.
