Joe Otterson TV Reporter Maisie Richardson-Sellers has been cast as a series regular in the upcoming AMC series “The Talamasca,” Variety has learned exclusively.
The Talamasca is a secretive group featured in a number of Rice’s novels. The official logline for the show states that it will “focus on the men and women responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other creatures scattered around the globe.” Richardson-Sellers joins previously announced cast members Nicholas Denton, William Fichtner, and Elizabeth McGovern.
She will play Olive, who is described as “a beguiling and ambitious agent of the Talamasca, assigned to be Guy Anatole’s (Denton) American handler.
She is deft with information and a master of disguises in the old tradition of spy craft.” Richardson-Sellers is known for her roles in shows like “The Originals” and “Legends of Tomorrow” at The CW, as well as the six-part cyber thriller “The Undeclared War” alongside Simon Pegg and Mark Rylance.
