The opportunity for a trip down memory lane reeled in Annan residents to The Anglers on Tuesday afternoon on a double challenge.
Annan the History Town Group members Peter and Val Russell were in the club’s lounge to greet enthusiastic locals who came armed with photographs, memories and artefacts which could help a number of exhibitions to go on display this year.
The group is looking for information on grocers, supermarkets and the schools of Annan, whilst collecting bits and pieces on the history of the Annan and District Anglers Club too.
The Anglers is marking 10 years at its current High Street site this year – although it is much older – and now members Sean Black and Ellis Irving are on the hunt for information to establish some background of the building, the club itself and when it was above Graham the Barbers.
