Ann Budge makes doomsday 2020 SPFL prediction as Hearts chief explains need for wage cut

Hearts owner Ann Budge insists it's vital players agree a wage cut because a deferral just pushes the problem further down the line.

The Tynecastle chief has also warned that she doesn't believe that football will be played in front of a normal crowd for the rest of 2020, meaning SPFL clubs are likely to be pushed into financial trouble.

A huge amount of income for Scottish clubs comes from gate receipts but it looks unlikely that supporters will be able to attend matches in the near future because of coronavirus.And Budge reckons it will take years for clubs to get back onto a level footing again once the coronavirus crisis is eased across the world.
