Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally settled their tumultuous divorce after eight years of back-and-forth. Despite reaching an agreement, tensions remain high over the division of their £50million French estate and winery.
Angelina's attorney revealed that the 'Maleficent' star is "exhausted" from the drawn-out conflict involving their children and vast £319m fortune. The ex-power couple filed a declaration in LA Superior Court on Monday, confirming they've hashed out a deal regarding their marriage and assets. "More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr Pitt," her lawyer James Simon disclosed. "She and the children left all of the properties they had shared with Mr Pitt, and since that time, she has focused on finding peace and healing for their family. This is just one part of a long ongoing process that started eight years ago.
Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved this one part is over." The legal documents state they've waived any rights to future spousal support but are scant on further specifics.
A judge's approval is still pending. Jolie and Pitt were once Tinseltown's golden couple for 12 years, married for two, reports the Mirror. They share six children.
