If anyone can achieve positive change in this area, it’s Angela Busheska.Glamour: What do you wish more people knew about STEM fields, and what would you tell other young women who want to go into them?Angela Busheska: When you are into STEM, you have a chance to really shape our future.
Look at the past, for example: I realized that gym machines are made for men. Then, in my junior year we were working with a brain-computer interface cap that didn’t even work for women—because the people who made it…there were no women [involved].
Our health depends on us. Not having a woman in these places means it’s worse for humanity because if you don’t have one that works for women, you’re leaving out 50% of the population.What do you love most about studying STEM?
