Ange Postecoglou dedicated Celtic’s Premier Sports Cup semi-final win to Bertie Auld and hopes it puts a smile on the face of his grieving family.
The Hoops beat St Johnstone 1-0 at Hampden thanks to James Forrest ’s second half strike to keep the Aussie on track for his first trophy as gaffer.
Celtic ’s players wore Auld’s number 10 on their shorts, while fans unveiled banners in memory of the legendary Lisbon Lion who passed away last week.
Postecoglou spoke to his team prior to kick off about the importance of trying to live up to the standards set by Auld and other club icons.
