Kirk Sutherland is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera, Coronation Street. The character first appeared on-screen during the episode airing on 22 May 2000, played by an uncredited actor and originally referred to as Mark. From October onwards, he is played by Andrew Whyment.

mirror.co.ukCoronation Street actor Andy Whyment decided to 'out' co-star Alan Halsall after he cruelly trolled him over a topless pic. Alan, who plays Tyrone Dobbs on the ITV soap, compared Andy, who plays Kirk Sutherland, to classic movie character E.T.
after seeing a photo of him soaking up the sun in his garden. Luckily, former I'm A Celeb star Andy saw the funny side but still decided to expose Alan on Instagram.
Sharing the side-by-side comparison he wrote: "When @alanhalsall sends you this and says twins he's absolutely hammered me there. "It's a good job we've known each other for 30 years and I love him ❤️ x" he added.
